Foodie Friday: Baked Brie Recipe

I love a good baked brie.  The first time I was exposed to it was in a pub in Columbia, SC.  I believe that it was called the British Bulldog.  A friend of mine brought me there over the summer for lunch and he ordered this delicious, flaky crusted, bubbling culinary masterpiece. The original recipe comes with respberries in the center and is glazed with praline sauce and apples.  Since then he found an easy homemade recipe for it, which I am going to share with you.

  • One egg
  • A small round of brie
  • Tube of crescent rolls
  • Brown sugar
  • Glazed pecans

  • Lay out the crescent rolls and roll them until they are blended into one piece
  • Spread brown sugar and pecans in the middle of the rolls no wider than the round of brie
  • Place the brie over the pecan mix and fold the sides of the crescent roll over it
  • Smooth the dough and then turn over and place pecan side up on a cookie sheet
  • Beat the egg well and brush it over the crescent roll for a glaze
  • Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes
