Fridays are usually my gear up day on my blog. With two full days off, I am looking into making significant changes to The Treehouse. Friday is also a big day for potential house hunters and open houses are abundant on the weekends. To kick off the weekend, I am going to begin featuring a listing of Amy’s and mine on the blog.
Welcome to 5206 Quarry Drive, situated perfectly in Shiloh Commons, one of the most in-demand neighborhoods in Lancaster. Why? It is only 20 minutes to Rock Hill and Indian Land, and 30 minutes to Charlotte. Shiloh Commons also boasts spacious lots as well as plenty of streets to take the kids or pets for an evening walk. This home looks over the neighborhood from atop a regal hillside. The exterior architecture is gorgeous: brick, stone, and shake add to the home’s luxury lake house feel.
The landscaping features cypress and magnolia trees as well as flowering shrubs. The evergreen plants provide beautiful curb appeal throughout the year. The front porch is large enough to fit a little sitting area, great for reading a book or magazine in the afternoon sun.
The grand staircase greets you in the open foyer. It is a unique and breathtaking feature that makes this house one of a kind. The wrought iron railing is also a lovely touch.
The stairs overlook the large great room and add a dash of architectural interest. The layout makes the home feel open, airy, and bright.
The kitchen is open to the great room. This awesome kitchen peninsula allows for additional seating, great for nights doing homework or holding a wine tasting party. The extra-thick base boards throughout the home, featured here, are a nice touch.
You will not be short on space or luxury in this kitchen. Stainless steel appliances gleam in the afternoon sun along with the hardwood floors. The ample counter space will entice you to get all your friends and family in there with you, cooking up a storm! I love the crown molding and recessed lighting, as well. It looks like a show room, it’s so beautiful.
Framed by a sunny bay window in the kitchen is the breakfast area. This space is large enough to accommodate almost any sized dining table. Not pictured here is the additional formal dining room, great for more elegant affairs and holiday dinners.
A quick tour into the foyer reveals this awesome arched doorway as well as the craftsman style front door. I love the deep mahogany color. This is probably one of my favorite features in the house. Mix that with the stairs and you have one amazing entryway.
Through the arched doorway is the master suite. As you can see, there is more than enough room in this majestic space for a sitting area as well as extra-large furniture, and you will STILL have space to spare.
The master bathroom doesn’t have to beg you to use it in the mornings. I wouldn’t be surprised if you are just like me and looking forward to having such a gorgeous bathroom. High cabinets with double sinks and vanity space give you the space you need for your toiletries. The rounded garden tub with tile surround looks really nice now, but wait a second…
Yes, there are STAIRS that lead up to the tub. This is awesome! There is so much you can do with this tub as far as accessorizing goes or you just have an easier way to slide into the tub with a glass of wine at the end of a long day. And check out that extra large shower! Waking up will be so very easy in the mornings with a spa-like bathroom of this caliber.
The additional bedrooms upstairs are HUGE! Two bedrooms even have their own little window seats, great for storage or for a child’s reading nook. There are 3 additional bedrooms in the home.
The back of the house will be the center of the summer time festivities with this raised patio, great for grilling and hosting parties. Put a fire pit out during the cooler months for s’more roasting.
