Life As I Know It

A Day in the Life of Morgan

6:00 AM-Wake up to Maddie clawing at my bed. Wonder to myself why I didn’t do my due diligence and lock her out of my bedroom.

6:05 AM- Shuffle into the kitchen and feed Maddie, since, let’s face it, that’s the only reason why she was clawing at my bed in the first place.  Because she is a fat cat and needs wants to eat. She is a voluptuous

6:30-7:30 AM- Thus having my workout clothes on, depending on the morning, I will either do a P90-X routine or go for a morning jog.  If I am sore/tired/hate the routine I have to do that day, I won’t do it and usually that is additional sleepy time.

7:30-8:30 AM- I have to bathe, dress, get my make up on, pack lunch, make breakfast/coffee and be out the door by 8:30 AM.  Any earlier and I will be staring up at the ceiling of my office until 9 and any later and I turn into a shame-ridden pile of dust.  Oh, believe me, it happens.

8:30-9:00 AM- I have done the math and it takes me 30 minutes exactly to get to my office from my house.  During this time I listen to Ace & TJ and Bob & Sherri on the radio.  I like to call this my “me time” before chaos ensues.  The calm before the storm if you will.

9:00 AM-5:00 PM- This is my work time.  Most of the day, I am updating listings, showing people houses if mom is already busy with a client, and keeping her Facebook page up to snuff.  Sometime in there we eat.  That’s my favorite part of the work day, not just because there is food involved but because this is the moment of the day where we don’t try not to talk about work.

5:00 PM-5:30 PM- I bust out of the office and head home.  Again, my radio time, my quiet time, and sometimes if it’s been a long day, my smoking time.  Not proud of it but there are just some days that nicotene helps the crazy.

5:30-6:00 PM- I greet Maddie at the door.  She is mewing up a storm, her tail is shaking violently, and she is rubbing against my leg, informing me that it is fur baby dinner time.  I feed her, run to my room to shed my work clothes and put on my “comfies.”  I pour myself a glass of wine and sit out on the screened porch and thank God for being awesome in my life where I get this time to myself and I get to enjoy it freely.

6:00-7:00 PM- I tackle the dishes from the night before, straighten up the house a little, and begin making dinner.  This usually consists of either nuking the leftovers from the night before or making enough food that I have leftovers for lunch the next few days.

7:00-8:00 PM- Dinner time accompanied by How I Met Your Mother, The Walking Dead, Wilfred, or some movie I got from RedBox. Maddie starts begging me for something off my plate, but I promise her a treat after I am done eating. I am suddenly realizing how pathetic my day sounds, but not really.  This is the only “TV” time I get and sometimes it’s just nice to turn off my brain for an hour and just absorb culture.

8:00-10:00 PM- This is usually when I work on the next day’s blog post, pin a few things on Pinterest , and comment on several Facebook posts.  This is also the time that I do a lot of my project planning, budgeting, and carrying out of home projects and crafts.

10:00 PM- Bed time. I hope into my jim jams, snuggle down into bed, neglecting to close the door to my bedroom so Maddie always finds her way back in, and I read a few pages of the current book I am on.  Sometime around…

10:45 PM-I pass out.

I also am on a quest to get down to 120 pounds! Check out my progress!
